- 简介:
- Consumers perceive prices as unfair when a firm's profit margin is disproportionately high relative to the consumer surplus. This paper studies the impact of consumer inequity aversion on a firm's optimal product bundling and pricing strategy, as well as its implications for consumer surplus and social welfare.

报告介绍:
This paper examines how consumer inequity aversion affects a firm's optimal product bundling and pricing strategy. It reveals that bundling high-cost products can mitigate consumers' perceptions of price unfairness and increase their willingness to pay. The study also finds that bundling can improve inequity-averse consumers' welfare and suggests that legislative bans against bundling might not be advisable. Further, it examines the implications of cost disclosure and how it can align with both firm profits and social welfare.
