报题告目(Title)：   Spiral Advancement of AI and Robotics报告人(Reporter)：  Shuzhi Sam GE 教授报告主持人(Chairs)：陈小奇 院士报告时间(Time)：    2023年12月11日（星期一） 10:30—11:30       报告地点(Location)：广州国际校区D1-b110欢迎广大师生踊跃参加。  吴贤铭智能工程学院2023年12月7日 报告摘要(Abstract)：Robotics and Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies have been widely employed in our works and daily lives as they revolutionize.In this talk,I will go though the firstly give a brief introduction about development of robot-human interaction technologies in short-term and specific scenarios,then go through the improvement that AI technologies bring up.I will focus more on the recent research works and advances in the social robotics based on knowledge learning,intelligent control,scene understanding with AI,companionship,and among others.I would like to conclude my lecture by the discussion on comprehensive robot interaction theory that integrates social knowledge,intention understanding,behavior generation and delivery.For each of the subtopics,the materials are prepared with pictures,and followed by some fundamental technical details. At this point of the time, the fusion of AI and robotics is apparent, and open for us to work together to make social robots as an integral part of our social fabric. 报告人简介(Biography)：Shuzhi Sam Ge,Fellows of SAEng，IEEE,IFAC,IET,CAA，Professor,Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering,PI Member of Institute for Functional Intelligent Materials,the National University of Singapore, and Founder of Institute for Future (IFF),Qingdao University,China.He serves as President Elect of Asian Control Association,2022—2024,IFAC executive officers as Council Member,2023—2026, Chair of Standing Committee, International Conference on Social Robotics, 2009-present.He served as Vice President of Technical Activities and Membership Activities,2009—2012,Member of Board of Governors,2007—2009,and Chair of Technical Committee on Intelligent Control,2005—2008,of IEEE Control Systems Society.He was the recipient of many award including National Technology Award from Singapore,IEEE Control Systems Society Distinguished Member Award,AI Grand Challenge Award from AI SG.His research interests include robotics,intelligent systems,and intelligent materials.He is Clarivate Analytics high-cited scientist in 2016—2022 and has (co)-authored nine books,and over 800 international journal and conference papers,with high H index (110) and citations (58,000).
